Nurses bridge the gap between society and healthcare: Governor

Agartala, May 27 (FD) Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu emphasized the crucial role of nurses in bridging the gap between healthcare services and society during an oath-taking ceremony held at the Sukanta Academy Auditorium, Agartala. The event was organized for the fourth batch of GNM and the sixth batch of ANM students of Sarvodaya Institution of Nursing, Melaghar.
Highlighting the evolving nature of the state’s healthcare infrastructure, the Governor noted the rising demand for skilled nursing professionals. He encouraged the new nursing graduates to serve patients with patience, kindness, respect, and dignity.
During the ceremony, Governor Reddy also unveiled the cover of the nursing institute's official magazine, Glospire. Former Union Minister of State Pratima Bhowmik addressed the gathering, along with Swami Shubhkarananda Maharaj, Secretary of Ramakrishna Mission School, and Professor H. P. Sharma, Director of the Medical Education Department.
The oath was administered by the Principal of Sarvodaya Institute of Nursing, Bengaluru, and the welcome address was delivered by Snehasish Bhowmik, Administrative Officer of the Melaghar division. The event underscored the importance of nursing in the modern healthcare landscape. FD SB
