Agartala, May 06 (FD) In a major crackdown against drug trafficking, North Tripura Police seized 60,000 YABA tablets at Churaibari Gate during the time of entry to the state of North Tripura. The approximate cost of the seized drug is around Rs. 6 crore, making it one of the biggest drug seizures in the state's history.
Superintendent of Police Bhanupada Chakraborty said “Three people from Sonamura and Dhanpur have been arrested in connection with the case. A Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances case has been registered at Churaibari Police Station, and investigations are underway to uncover the entire network involved in this drug racket”.
