Ninth Ayurveda Day to be Celebrated on Oct 29 with Statewide events

Agartala, Oct 26 (FD) The Ninth Ayurveda Day will be celebrated across the state on October 29, showcasing a variety of events. This year’s theme, Ayurveda Innovation for Global Health, focuses on promoting Ayurveda as a tool for enhancing global health. Senior Assistant Professor Dr. Vishnu Chowdhury of the North Eastern Institute of Ayurveda and Homeopathy in Shillong shared these details at a press conference held today at the Agartala Press Club.
Dr. Chowdhury outlined that this year’s Ayurveda Day celebration will center around three key activities: Jan Sandesh (Public Message), Jan Bhagidari (Public Participation), and Jan Andolan (Public Movement). A statewide event will be organized at Prajna Bhaban in Agartala on October 29 to mark this significant day, with Chief Minister Professor (Dr.) Manik Saha scheduled to inaugurate the celebration.
During the press conference, Dr. Chowdhury emphasized that Ayurveda is playing an increasingly crucial role in advancing global health and improving the quality of life. The celebration aims to further promote Ayurvedic practices and encourage innovation within the field. Other prominent attendees included Dr. Himanshu Barua, Branch Officer (Homeopathy) of the State AYUSH Mission Tripura, and Dr. Subrata Dev, Branch Officer (Ayurveda) of the State AYUSH Mission Tripura, along with Alak Devvarma and other distinguished guests.
