NFR Records 0.956 MT of Freight Loading in February 2025

Maligaon, Mar 16 (FD) The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) continues to work tirelessly around the clock to serve its customers and ensure the timely delivery of essential commodities to end users.

Demonstrating consistent progress in freight transportation, NFR recorded a freight loading of 0.956 million tonnes (MT) across various commodities in February 2025.

Several commodities witnessed significant growth in freight loading compared to the same period last year. Container loading increased by 44.4%, cement loading rose by 37.5%, dolomite loading grew by 26.7%, and fertilizer loading saw a 5.0% rise.

Additionally, in other segments, ballast loading increased by 27.3%, stone chips registered a 50.5% growth, and bamboo loading recorded a remarkable surge of 800% compared to the previous fiscal year.
