Nepal Terai region experiences thick fog and extremely cold conditions

In Nepal, the Terai region has been experiencing thick fog and extremely cold conditions in the morning, leading to a significant decline in public movement in urban and market areas.

Fewer vehicles are seen on the roads as the cold persists. Morning cold waves and thick fog make life difficult in the Terai, with visibility down to 10 meters. Most schools have been closed at the local level due to the cold waves. Arrangements have been made to build fires in the streets to ward off the cold.
