Naxals slay villager in Chhattisgarh's Bastar

Dantewada (Chhattisgarh)/UNI: After a period of dormancy, Maoists have murdered a village heads tribal husband in this restive district of Left-wing extremism-affected Bastar division of Chhattisgarh, law-enforcement authorities confirmed on Saturday.
Bheema Barse who was the spouse of Kuakonda blocks Rewali sarpanch was abducted late Friday from his dwelling in remote Barrem.
He was then killed and the corpse was dumped at Patelpara about 4 km away.
The motive is unclear.
The area has been a rebel den for years.
