Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan launched in Sikkim

Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang launched the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan during a special Raksha Bandhan programme organized by the Brahma Kumaris at Shakti Kund in Gangtok today.
The campaign is aimed at promoting a drug-free society.
In his address, the Chief Minister stressed the importance of integrating the message of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan into daily life. He urged everyone to work together to raise awareness about the dangers of substance abuse and to actively participate in the fight against it.
Dr. Banarsilal Sah, Executive Secretary of the Medical Wing of Brahma Kumaris, Mount Abu, also spoke on the significance of the campaign, emphasizing its role in building a healthier and safer society.
The event, which coincided with Raksha Bandhan, also included a Rakhi-tying ceremony where Brahma Kumaris sisters symbolically tied Rakhis on the Chief Minister and other dignitaries, reinforcing the message of protection and unity. The programme was attended by various ministers, MLAs, and local dignitaries.
