Nallu takes oath as the 20th governor of Tripura today

Agartala, Oct 26 (FD) A senior BJP leader and former General Secretary of the party, Indra Sena Reddy Nallu was sworn in as the 20th governor of Tripura today.

Chief Justice of Tripura High Court, Aparesh Kumar Singh administered him the oath of office and secrecy at a function at the Rajbhavan here.

Chief Minister Manik Saha, his cabinet colleagues including the Minister of Law Ratan Lal Nath and Chief Secretary J K Sinha were among those present at the swearing-in ceremony.

Expressing his happiness at the appointment, the Governor said, “I thanked President Droupadi Murmu for appointing him as the Governor. I want to bring transparency, empowerment and accountability in the state administration. I would continue to support the state government led by Chief Minister Manik Saha". FD JK
