Agartala, April 23 (FD) In the 41st episode of Mukhyamantri Samipeshu, Tripura Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha personally addressed the grievances of people seeking urgent help, primarily for medical assistance and social pensions. The program witnessed a large turnout of individuals in distress, many requesting financial aid for medical treatments.
Among the cases presented, Gopal Debnath of Teliamura sought help for his young son suffering from a congenital brain disorder. The Chief Minister reviewed the documents and directed GBP Hospital’s Medical Superintendent to provide immediate support. Similarly, Kajal Debnath from Laskamura appealed for aid for his son’s ongoing treatment for a brain tumor, which was also promptly approved.
Several others, including Shibadevi Jamatia, Ajit Saha, Samir Ghosh, Pradip Deb, Rahul Sharma, Lakshmikanta Patari, Tirtha Pal, Archana Das (Singha), Sanab Saha, Apu Shil, Suryadhan Sinha, and Kartik Chandra Saha, received the Chief Minister’s assurance of full medical support through GBP and Cancer Hospitals.
In addition to medical aid, the Chief Minister also instructed the Additional Director of Social Welfare and Social Education to process social pension requests. Beneficiaries included Shantanu Kumar Kar (for his differently-abled son), Saraswati Saha, and Anjana Saha (Roy).
Key officials from the Health Department, GBP Hospital, Atal Bihari Vajpayee Regional Cancer Hospital, IGM Hospital, and welfare schemes like Ayushman Bharat PM-JAY and Mukhyamantri Jan Arogya Yojana were present at the event. FD SB
