Mohan Bhafwat to pay two days visit to Tripura

Agartala, Aug 25 (FD): Rastriya Swamsevak Sevak  Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat will pay two days visit  to Tripura on Friday and inaugurate a temple of the Shantikali Ashram at Sarbong in Amarpur of the state’s Gomati district.

Shantikali Ashram operates under the Shantikali Mission Society, which runs a chain of 24 temples across the state, named after Acharya Shantikali, a religious priest, who was gunned down by the insurgents of outlawed National Liberation Front of Tripura in 2000.

A devout Hindu priest had worked extensively in the hilly and remote tribal inhabited areas to resist forcible conversion into Christianity.

This will be the second visit of the RSS chief to the state this year, who is likely to address a public gathering during the inauguration of the temple. FD JK
