Mog community’s ‘Sangrai’ festival being celebrated in Sabroom

Agartala, Apr 16 (FD) The Mog tribal community's annual New Year festival, Sangari, is being celebrated with great enthusiasm in Mog-dominated Vaishnavpur village of Sabroom subdivision.
This year's festival is unique as it is the first time that a centrally organized celebration is being held in one location. The festivities started on Saturday and are continuing today.
The newly elected MLA of Manu constituency, Mailafru Mog, shared that the festival is an opportunity to showcase the diverse facets of the Mog culture and history.
He also noted that people from all sections of society are coming together to enjoy the celebrations, including members of the Mog community from different parts of the state and even from different parts of the world.
The festival will conclude this evening with a massive community feast.
