Modi has plan to double the support for Tripura: Sarbananda Sonowal

Agartala, Feb 12 (FD) Prime Minister Narendra Modi has aimed to double the aid and assistance provided in the last five years for the economic development of the people of the state, in the next five years, Union Cabinet Minister for Ports, Shipping and Waterways Sarbananda Sonowal said on Sunday.
Addressing the Vijay Sankalp Jansabha at Simna in support of BJP nominated candidate Binod Debbarma, Sonowal said, BJP government led by Modi has kept all its promises and fulfilled them during the last five years in Tripura. If voted to power, Modi has a plan to double the aid and assistance provided in the last five years for the economic development of the people of the state, in the next five years, he added.
Hailing the role of the Modi-led BJP government in the development of the Northeast, he said that in the last nine years, the central government has done so much that the Congress and other parties could not do in 60 years.
Under the rule of the BJP-led Tripura government, the state has started to gain recognition not only within the country but also in the global markets, Sonowal added.
He appealed to voters to join the path of development in order to ensure the future of the next generation.
The Union Minister expressed his hope that the people of the constituency will elect their candidate with a high vote margin.
