Agartala, June 29 (FD) Tripura's Fisheries, Animal Resource Development, and Scheduled Caste Welfare Minister Sudhangshu Das on Tuesday called upon government officials to continue working with dedication, integrity, and professionalism for the welfare of the people while addressing the Second Chintan Shivir and Felicitation Ceremony held at Manikya Enclave in Agartala.
The programme was jointly organised by the Animal Resource Development Department, Fisheries Department, and Scheduled Caste Welfare Department. Officials, employees, and invited guests from all three departments attended the event.
Speaking as the chief guest, Minister Sudhangshu Das highlighted the significant achievements of the departments in implementing various welfare and development initiatives during the 2025-26 financial year. He stressed that dedicated government officials are the driving force behind effective public service and that recognising their efforts serves as both an honour and an inspiration for future performance.
The minister informed that the Fisheries Department achieved 92 percent implementation of state budget projects, while the Animal Resource Development Department completed 97.03 percent and the Scheduled Caste Welfare Department achieved 97.32 percent implementation. He also noted substantial progress in executing centrally sponsored schemes and urged officials to maintain the same level of commitment in delivering quality public services.
During the ceremony, Minister Das felicitated officers and employees for their exemplary service during the 2025-26 financial year. A total of 21 officials from the Fisheries Department, 19 from the Scheduled Caste Welfare Department, and 33 from the Animal Resource Development Department were honoured for their dedication, efficiency, and contribution to public welfare.
Secretary Deepa D. Nair attended the programme as the guest of honour and highlighted the importance of inter-departmental coordination and collective efforts in successfully implementing government schemes. Directors Dr. Neeraj Kumar Chanchal, Santosh Das, and Bhaswar Bhattacharya also addressed the gathering.
The event also featured detailed discussions on future action plans, improving service delivery, enhancing administrative efficiency, and strengthening citizen-centric governance. The minister expressed confidence that the Chintan Shivir would further reinforce coordination among departments and make public service delivery more dynamic, transparent, and effective across Tripura.
