Agartala, Sept 30 (FD) In a recent announcement, Power Minister Ratan Lal Nath confirmed that there will be no shortage of electricity during the upcoming Shardotsav days in the state. The assurance comes after a crucial meeting held at Agartala Pragya Bhavan to address the electricity requirements for the festive season.
According to Nath, the state anticipates a demand for 380 MW of electricity during Shardotsav, while the current supply stands at 300 MW, resulting in an 80 MW deficit.
However, he reassured the public that there will be no inconvenience, as additional electricity will be procured from outside the state if needed.
Minister Nath also mentioned that the regular electricity export to neighboring Bangladesh will be slightly reduced temporarily during the Shardotsav days, with discussions held with Bangladesh to ensure a smooth transition. FD SB
