Meghalaya Gross State Domestic Product has seen rise of 13%, highlights VP Jagdeep Dhankhar

Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar today called northeast, the jewel of the country. Addressing members of Self Help Groups of Meghalaya representing Garo Hills, Khasi Hills and Jaintia Hills regions in New Delhi today, Mr Dhankhar highlighted that the Gross State Domestic Product of Meghalaya has seen a rise of 13 percent. He also highlighted the progress made under the ‘Look East, Act East’ policy. He said that the state has enormous talent, enormous potential in tourism, mining, IT, service sector among others. Mr Dhankhar underlined that balanced economic development and societal growth happen when women come forward. He underscored that the country in the last decade has achieved milestones that are envy of the world in economy, infrastructure, technology, women development and women empowerment.
