Many leaders unhappy over elevation of Sudip Barman as CWC member

Agartala, Aug 22 (FD) When the followers of Congress leader Sudip Roy Barman are jubilant at his elevation to the post of a permanent invitee member in the Congress Working Committee (CWC) the Congress veterans expressed their dissatisfaction on the issue.
A former BJP minister, Roy Barman had returned to Congress following his difference with the saffron party had won from his home turf, Krishnanagar and became an MLA, but the two other MLAs of the Congress party, Birajit Sinha and Gopal Roy are not happy with the development.
The former Pradesh Congress president and MLA Birajit Sinha on Tuesday said that the Congress party in Tripura is not in a good shape.
During his address at the Tripura Pradesh Fishermen Congress Committee held at Agartala Press Club Sinha commented that many Congress workers and leaders have expressed their dissatisfaction over the issue.
Asked about issue of elevation of Roy Barman, the former Pradesh chief Sinha said, “The future will reply if the decision taken by the Congress leaders to elevate Roy Barman was just, I am not astrologer”.
Visibly dissatisfied the Congress veteran said, “Congress is not in good shape. We have to watch to see what happens in future. Many leaders and activists have expressed displeasure in this matter”.
Sources close to Gopal Roy, former TPCC president and MLA said, “Roy Barman is a turn coat. He Joined BJP and Trinamool Congress and blamed our party and now he has become CWC member.
They also raised the question that how those leaders, who served Congress selflessly was awarded by Congress high command. FD JK
