Manik Dey becomes the Left Front convener in Tripura

Agartala, April 18 (FD) Manik Dey, a prominent leader of CPI-M was appointed as the Chairman of the Left Front Committee in Tripura by replacing the veteran communist leader and former Rajyasabha MP, Narayan Kar.

Sources in CPI-M said that Kar was removed from the post on age ground and the decision was taken for implementation in the meeting of the Left Front, comprising Forward Bloc, CPI-M, CPI and RSP.

State party Secretary and the politburo member of CPI-M announced the decision of the last state conference held in January-February this year.

Dey is the former Power minister of the state has been inducted in the party’s central Committee in the plenary session of the party. FD JK
