Leader of the opposition claims Tripura government is drowning in corruptions

Agartala, Mar 8 (FD) The leader of the opposition in Tripura assembly, Jitendra Chowdhury on Saturday criticized the BJP led government in Tripura ‘for drowning in a sea of corruption’.
Addressing a press conference in the chamber of the leader of the opposition, Chowdhury alleged that the government was inaugurating the half done projects of the Left Front government and bringing contractors from outside the state to create unemployment.
He also alleged that the situations in the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council, the situation is going on the following the foot prints of the state government as the projects are being handed over to the contractors from outside.
Chowdhury alleged that the unemployment in the state was forcing the youths to the drug trades, land brokerage and contract negotiation scams.
He said, “When the Chief Minister is making a big claim that there is good governance in the state, in fact the state has drowned into the sea of corruptions”.
Taking a dig at the Tipra Motha Supremo, Pradyot Kishore Debbarma, he said, during their regime the tribals were pushed to the more poverty, who are facing acute crisis of drinking water, poor road conditions, lack of irrigation facilities.
The Motha Chief claimed that Rs.100 crore World Bank project would bring smiling face to the tribals, but they became poor to poorer during the present dispensation.
He also urged to the people of the state to take to the streets with courge to overthrow the government, which is running a corrupt and misleading government. FD JK
