Kapil Sibal to fight for 10,323 retrenched teachers: TIPRA Motha Chief

Agartala, Oct 20 (FD) In order to find a permanent solution of the 10,323 retrenched teachers of Tripura, TIPRA Motha Chief and royal scion Pradyot Kishore Debbarma on Thursday met renowned lawyer Kapil Sibal along with the representatives of 10,323 teachers.
Informing the same in a social media post on Thursday, Debbarma wrote, “Met the Renowned Lawyer Kapil Sibal along with the representative of the 10323 affected teachers. He will be representing us and is confident of getting the teachers justice.”
Updates about the development would be informed shortly, he added.
The Motha chief further wrote, “Commitment is commitment and cannot be compromised.”
Meanwhile, members of retrenched ‘10323 teachers’ started hunger strike till unto death at Shakuntala Road here from today demanding permanent jobs from the state government.
The 10,323 teachers, who were recruited by the then Left Front government in 2010 had been terminated following court's order due to ‘unfair’ selection process. FD PD JK
