Kaizer Debbarma arrested for fraudulence

Agartala, Feb 12 (FD) A former Tripura government mandarin, Kaizer Debbarma, working as the Additional Director of the Tripura Industries and commerce department was arrested last night for fraudulence with a Noida based educational institution, police said today.

Kaizer was among the six accused, who allegedly cheated World Education Mission of Noida by handing over 48.52 acres of land at Tripura’s Bodhjungnagar by producing fake documents.

The FIR was lodged by Himangshu Panchal, the Director of the institution in July 2023 and claimed that he had paid Rs. 1.25 crore to Kaizer and five of his associates.

Police said they arrested Kaizer on Tuesdqay night and the case was presented to the local court. FD JK
