JRBT to announce Final Group-D results; Cabinet approves new appointments

Agartala, Aug 31 (FD) The Joint Recruitment Board of Tripura (JRBT) is set to release the final results for 2,500 Group-D posts on September 7th or 8th, 2024, following approval at the recent Cabinet meeting. Food Minister Sushant Chowdhury disclosed this during a press briefing held at the Secretariat today.

In addition to the Group-D results, the Cabinet has approved the recruitment of 116 constables under the Home Department. The recruitment for these positions will commence after the ongoing process for 1,000 constable posts is finalized. 

Further, the Cabinet has sanctioned the creation and filling of 51 new posts across various categories under the Department of Tourism, including positions such as Engineer and Computer Assistant. The meeting also approved the appointment of 8 Senior Informatics Officers and 1 Lower Division Clerk under the Department of Information and Technology, with recruitments to be handled by TPSC and JRBT, respectively.

Moreover, the Cabinet decided to increase the monthly salary of 3,776 Special Police Officers (SPOs) to Tk 12,000, and the wages of pump operators in municipal councils to a minimum of Tk 7,500. FD SB
