Agartala, Dec 1 (FD) Altogether 24000 candidates have qualified in the written examination for Group-C and Group-D posts conducted by the Joint Recruitment Board, Tripura (JRBT), as per official notification published on Wednesday night.
The written examinations for the 4910 Group-C and Group-D posts were held on August 20 and August 22 last year respectively.
“The candidates who qualify the written test will be called for interview or viva voce soon. The vacancies of the Group C posts will be filled up on 1:3 ratio while Group D posts will be filled up on the basis of 1:6 basis”, government officials said.
Minister for Labour, Bhagwan Das, Minister for information Sushanta Chowdhury and Commissioner for manpower and Labour department, Abhishek Singh claimed that never before in the history of Tripura such a huge number of employment had been made in such a transparent manner.
Elaborating on the matter Das said that there are 2410 Group C posts which comprises LDC-1500, Agri assistants-465, Multi-tasking worker-209, pump operator-236 and altogether 2500 Group D posts mostly comprising multi-tasking workers etc.
“The Group C posts will be taken on 1:3 ratio while Group D posts will be filled up on the basis of 1:6 basis”, Das told reporters at the civil secretariat here adding that the entire exercise had been completed in a most transparent manner.
He said that around 1 lakh aspirants had attempted the JRBT exam and out of this 24000 had qualified in the written test.
Labor Minister and ICA Minister said that interview or viva voce will be held soon and preference will be given to candidates who have PRTC.
The results were likely to be announced much earlier but court proceedings and other issues delayed the process. There was pent-up anger among the candidates over the delay. Apart from this, several groups of candidates protested demanding the release of the results. FD PD JK
