Agartala, April 16 (FD) A large group of candidates who have qualified for the Joint Recruitment Board of Tripura (JRBT) exams held a sit-in demonstration in front of Agartala City Centre, demanding that the government conduct interviews and induct them into jobs by July this year.
The JRBT exams were conducted three years ago, and results were released last year after a court order. However, several candidates are still waiting for their turn to undergo the interview process.

The exams were conducted in two phases in 2020, and nearly 2400 candidates have qualified for both the Group C and Group D exams, which were conducted against 2410 and 2500 posts, respectively.
The candidates are urging the government to expedite the interview process and issue appointment letters by July.
There were a total of 2410 Group C posts which comprises 1500 lower division clerks, 236 junior operator pumps, junior multi-tasking operator 209, 22 agri assistants except TAFS grade 3 and another 443 agri-assistants except TAFS grade III. In case of Group D posts, 2500 are multitasking posts. FD PD JK
