JRBT announces final list for 1980 Group C posts, postpones 430 due to lack of qualified candidates

Agartala, Sept 14 (FD) The Joint Recruitment Board of Tripura (JRBT) on Wednesday has unveiled the final list of candidates selected for 1980 Group C posts, following extensive recruitment efforts. However, due to the lack of qualified applicants, JRBT authorities have postponed the announcement of candidates' names for 430 additional posts.

The finalized list of job recipients was made available on JRBT's website yesterday afternoon, though it lacks information regarding the candidates' addresses, making it unclear how many individuals from outside the state secured positions. Nevertheless, the majority of candidates appear to have strong ties to Tripura.

JRBT had issued notifications for the recruitment of Group C and Group D employees across various state government departments in November 2020 and February 2021, aiming to fill over 5000 positions. While the final list for Group D posts is pending, out of 2410 Group C positions, a merit list for 1980 individuals has been announced, with 430 names deferred due to a shortage of eligible candidates, as reported on JRBT's website. The authorities have stated that the candidates' certificates will be reviewed by the respective recruiting departments.

Furthermore, JRBT could not recommend any candidates for 37 PwD posts earmarked for various disabilities, as suitable, eligible candidates were not found. Similarly, no candidates were announced for the 34 ex-servicemen posts, highlighting the challenges faced in filling these specialized roles. FD SB
