J&K: Religious Fervour Marks Annual ‘Haar Choudhah’ Festival At Mata Jwala Ji Shrine In Khrew, Pulwama

In the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, annual festival at the shrine of Goddess Mata Jwala ji in south Kashmir’s Khrew in Pampore area of Pulwama district locally known as auspicious “Haar Choudhah” is being celebrated with religious fervour and gaiety today.
Thousands of devotees mainly Kashmiri Pandits have been visiting the shrine since early morning today and pay their obeisance to mark the birthday of Mata Jwala ji on the occasion of Ashaad Chaturdashi today.
On the occasion, a Yagya is also being organised and is prayed before the Goddess Jwala ji to bestow prosperity and well-being for the whole mankind and lasting peace in the region.
The local Muslim population of Khrew and other neighbouring villages are seen busy in greeting the Kashmiri Pandits and other devotees who have kept available all the worship related articles available for the incoming devotees.
