Agartala, Jan 7 (FD) The leader of the opposition, Jiten Chowdhury just after returning from Delhi following his treatment today said that the law and order situation in the state has collapsed, which was evident recently from an incident at Ananga Nagar at Narayanpur area under the airport police station, at the outskirts of Agartala.
Chowdhury today visited the house of the local CPI-M worker Tapan Shil, whose house was bombed by a group of unidentified miscreants recently. The attackers are alleged to be the activists of the ruling BJP. He was accompanied by the Narsingarh local committee Secretary, Bkramjit Paul and the party MLA of the Barjala constituency Sudip Sarkar.
He personally visited the scars of the bomb blast on the outer wall of the house of Shil.
Hinting that the local BJP workers were involved in the case, Chowdhury alleged that the law enforcing agency, particularly the Airport police station had miserably failed to detect the attackers. FD JK
