Jiten condemns attack on party office at Mandai

Agartala, May 1 (FD) The party secretary of the opposition CPI-M and politburo member, Jitendra Chowdhury has alleged that the party office at Mandai in Jirania was set ablaze by the miscreants belonging to the ruling BJP.

He said a few days back the CPI-M party office at Dukli in Dharmanagar was also gutted down by the BJP sheltered goons.

A delegation of the party led by Chowdhury along with other members like Central Committee member Manik Dey, Ratan Bhowmik and others visited the party office situated within 500 meters of the police station.

He alleged that police remained action less even as the party office is just near their police station and added that a time will come when people will not stand silent and retaliate.

They also organised a protest rally and later met the police officials in the thana and demanded drastic actions by the administration and police.

Chowdhury also said that they would launch a movement against threats throughout the state. FD JK
