Jirania Railway station Included as Stoppage for Long-Distance Trains in Tripura

Agartala, May 20 (FD) Even an Express train will stop at Jirania Railway station, two station away from Agartala rail station, as the Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has approved the request of Tripura’s Transport and Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury.
Chowdhury who represents 10-Majlishpur Assembly Constituency where the Jirania station situated said, "I am very happy that, in response to my request, the Union Railway Minister has arranged for long-distance trains to make a stop at Jirania Railway Station, starting today, for the convenience of common passengers."
Expressing his gratitude, Chowdhury flagged off a long-distance train on Saturday that included a stoppage at Jirania Railway Station.
Taking to social media, he thanked the Union Minister for his support. The development comes after their meeting in New Delhi on April 19 last where they discussed crucial matters pertaining to the state's rail communication system. During the meeting, Chowdhury sought the Union Minister's intervention and assistance in resolving these issues.
Besides, he specifically requested the arrangement of stoppages for long-distance trains
at Jirania Railway Station, which falls under his 10-Majlishpur Assembly Constituency. His aim was to enhance the convenience of passengers traveling through the region.
To assess the situation firsthand, the state Minister visited Jirania Railway Station on Saturday morning. He interacted with passengers and inspected the boarding system of a long-distance train that had made a stop at the station. FD PD JK
