Irritated youths protest before the jail headquarters

Agartala, Dec 17 (FD) A group of irritated youths, who appeared in the written tests in the year 2022 on Tuesday protested before the jail headquarters near Purbasha to expedite the prison police recruitment examinations.

A protesting youth said, “The date for recruitment of jail police was announced by the jail authorities in the state on December 2022 and a few days later 249 candidates underwent a physical test, but written and oral tests are yet to be conducted. I seem that entire recruitment process is cancelled”.

Prolonged delay of the completion of the recruitment process has made the youths frustrated, which led them to protest before the headquarters.

“How long can we wait? When we have waited for near about one year and did not receive any communication from the side of the authorities, we organised multiple deputations for completion of the process, but they did not pay heed to our plea,”, said another protester.

However, they said, will sit again with all the protesters to find out a suitable works. FD JK
