However, RCB could not maintain the rhythm Salt provided, as wickets fell at regular intervals. A late cameo from Tim David, scoring 37 runs from 20 balls, helped RCB cross the 160-run mark. For Delhi, Vipraj Nigam and Kuldeep Yadav took two wickets each. K L Rahul was adjudged the Player of the Match.
Today, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will face Kolkata Knight Riders at the M. A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. The match is scheduled to begin at 7:30 PM.
Meanwhile, CSK has announced that former skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni will replace full-time captain Ruturaj Gaikwad for the remainder of the season. Gaikwad has been ruled out due to a hairline fracture in his elbow. Dhoni’s last match as CSK captain was during the IPL 2023 final in Ahmedabad against the Gujarat Titans, where CSK secured their fifth title with a 5-wicket victory.
