India’s textile sector to reach $350 billion by 2030: Union Minister Pabitra Margherita

Minister of State for Textiles, Pabitra Margherita, today expressed confidence that India’s textile sector will reach 350 billion dollars by 2030. Addressing an interactive session with foreign missions in India on Bharat Tex 2025 in New Delhi, the Minister urged global stakeholders to participate in Bharat Tex 2025. The Minister mentioned that schemes like PM-Mitra and the government’s various PLI schemes will enable the apparel industry to boost production and attract foreign direct investment.

BHARAT TEX 2025, a global-scale textile trade fair and knowledge platform, is scheduled to be held from February 14th to 17th next year. The event will take place simultaneously at two state-of-the-art venues: Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi and the India Expo Centre and Mart in Greater Noida.
