India Poised to Become Global MICE Hub, Says Minister Shekhawat

Union Culture and Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat today inaugurated the 14th open seminar on India: The Land of Exponential Growth at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Shekhawat said that with the construction of the state-of-the-art exhibition and conference complexes in the country, India is all set to become the Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE) capital of the world. He said that the government and the private exhibition industry have to work together to make India a centre of MICE tourism.
Mr Shekhawat highlighted that the country has experienced large-scale development across nearly every sector over the past decade. The minister emphasised that India possesses the right potential, necessary infrastructure, and a robust market, positioning it as a land of unprecedented possibilities. He also noted that every sector and stakeholder has a distinct responsibility and role in contributing to the vision of a Viksit Bharat by 2047.
