INDI Alliance candidate Rajendra Reang to file a nomination for East Tripura seat on April 1st

Agartala, Mar 28 (FD) Former MLA and INDI Alliance candidate Rajendra Reang is set to submit his nomination papers on April 1st in Ambassa.
CPI (M) state secretary Jiten Chowdhury made the announcement, emphasizing the strong backing from senior leaders of the eight-party alliance as well as party members.
The INDI Alliance buoyed by the spontaneous participation of supporters during previous nomination filings, finalized campaign strategies during a meeting in Agartala. Congress MLA Sudip Roybarman expressed confidence in the alliance's momentum, anticipating future campaign appearances by leaders like Kanhaiya Kumar, Rahul Gandhi, and Priyanka Gandhi.
Observers noted a renewed sense of purpose among voters, aiming to safeguard democracy and the Indian Constitution. Speaking to the media, Tripura CPIM State Secretary Jitendra Choudhury emphasized the need for a level playing field and urged widespread enthusiasm for the alliance's cause.
Roy Barman criticized the Modi-led government, citing the electoral bond issue and concerns over authoritarian governance. With elections scheduled in two phases on April 19 and April 26 for the West and East Tripura seats, respectively, the stage is set for a fiercely contested battle between candidates. FD SBĀ
