Increase in Puja bonus for State Government employees, pensioners

Agartala, September 17 (FD) Tripura government has increased the Puja bonus for state government employees and pensioners, Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Jishnu Dev Varma announced on Friday.
Addressing a press conference the finance minister said that the Puja grant for the government employees and pensioners will be Rs. 1500. Besides, a grant of Rs. 1700 will be given to part time workers, casual workers, contractual workers, Anganwadi workers and helpers, home guards and Special Police Officers (SPO.
Jishnu Dev Varma also said that the government employees will be given Puja advance of Rs. 20000, like last year. The Puja advance for Anganwadi workers/helpers, home guards will be Rs. 5000 and Rs. 2000 for Asha workers.
Various projects will be started for the development of health, road infrastructure, women and child welfare and education department on the occasion of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav and 50 years fulfillment for Tripura statehood, said Finance Department Secretary Brijesh Pandey.
He also said that the finance department has acquired an approval of Rs. 155 crores from special assistance of the state government for the above mentioned projects. FD DM
