Agartala, Aug 20: In order to build a self-reliant Tripura and a self-reliant India, export of manufactured goods must be increased, Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha said.
Dr Saha who visited Bodhjung Nagar Industrial Complex on Saturday said, “Exports of manufactured goods in the state have increased to a large extent during the tenure of the current government as compared to the previous one.”
He said, through the government's ‘Tripura Industrial Investment Promotion Scheme – 2022’, industrial enterprises from the state and outside the state are being encouraged to invest in Tripura.
The government is conscious enough to develop Bodhjung Nagar and RK Nagar Industrial Complex, Dr Saha said.
The Chief Minister expressed his happiness at the use of bamboo products from this complex have been used in the newly constructed Parliament House of India.
He said, “I am happy to know that bamboo products from this complex have been used in the newly constructed Parliament House of India.”
Industrial units have increased here compared to earlier, Dr Saha said.
He said, demand has increased for gas and electricity and the government is trying to solve these two problems of industrial entrepreneurs.
The 'PM Gati Shakti' scheme is proposed to solve the power problem at a cost of Rs 22.01 crore, Dr Saha said.
Talking to industry entrepreneurs, Dr Saha was informed about their pros and cons.
He said, “We assured them about improving the roads and increasing the security of the industrial units in this complex area.”
