Agartala, June 1 (FD) The Institution of Engineers (India) [IEI], Tripura State Centre, has launched a student-friendly initiative to assist successful candidates of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main and Advanced in the online counselling process for admission to premier engineering institutions across the country.
Announcing the initiative in an official statement, Prof. (Dr.) Priyanath Das, Honorary Secretary of the IEI Tripura State Centre, said that qualified students intending to participate in the counselling process conducted by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) can avail themselves of free guidance and technical support at the conference hall of the IEI Tripura State Centre, located at the Nehru Complex in Gorkhabasti, Agartala.
The counselling assistance facility became operational from June 1 and will continue until June 15. On working days, the help desk will function from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm. On weekends and holidays, including Saturdays and Sundays, services will be available from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm and again from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
According to Dr. Das, students will receive comprehensive support throughout the JoSAA counselling process, including registration, choice filling, mock seat allotment, final seat allotment, fee payment and document verification.
He further informed that alumni of NIT Agartala, in collaboration with members of the IEI Tripura State Centre, will provide expert guidance to help students make informed decisions during the admission process.
The initiative is expected to benefit a large number of aspiring engineering students from Tripura by ensuring smooth participation in the highly competitive counselling process and helping them secure admission to institutions of their choice. FD JK
