In the second semifinal of the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy, New Zealand set a target of 363 runs for South Africa at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, Pakistan.
Earlier, opting to bat first, New Zealand piled up 362 runs for six wickets in the stipulated 50 overs. Rachin Ravindra and Kane Williamson struck centuries. Ravindra scored 108 off 101 balls, while Williamson made 102 off 94. For South Africa, Lungi Ngidi took three wickets, while Kagiso Rabada claimed two, and Wiaan Mulder picked up one.
The winner of this high-stakes encounter will face India in the final on Sunday. India advanced to the final after defeating Australia by four wickets in Dubai in the first semifinal.
