Home Voting Facility Sees Strong Response from Senior Citizens & Differently-Abled in Delhi Polls

The Home Voting facility for Delhi assembly polls is being enthusiastically utilized by differently-abled individuals and senior citizens aged 85 and above in all 70 Assembly constituencies.
Chief Electoral Office of Delhi said in a statement that the home voting facility is available to voters above 85 years of age and Persons with Disabilities. 92 percent of registered home-voters have successfully cast their votes as of 31st January. This includes 5,982 senior citizens and 998 persons with disabilities.
District West recorded the highest home-voting turnout at 94 percent. In adherence to Election Commission protocols, the contestants were informed about the schedule and list of home-voters, ensuring a transparent and inclusive electoral process. The significant increase in home-voting reflects growing voter awareness and accessibility, reinforcing the commitment to inclusive democratic participation.
