HIL 2024-25: Kalinga Lancers tame Bengal Tigers for first win

In the Hockey India League (HIL), Vedanta Kalinga Lancers secured their first win of this season as they hammered Shrachi Rarh Bengal Tigers 6-0 at the Birsa Munda Hockey Stadium in Rourkela last night.

Thierry Brinkman scored two goals for Lancers in the 3rd and 47th minute. Despite being the table toppers, the Bengal Tigers failed to face the attacking mode of the Lancers. Krishan Bahadur Pathak of Lancers got the Player of the Match title who stood like a wall throughout the match.

Team Gonasika will play Tamil Nadu Dragons at 6 PM today, followed by another match between UP Rudras and Hyderabad Toofans at 8:15 PM in Rourkela.
