High level meeting headed by DGP warns stern actions against the persons involved in violence at Gandatwisa

Agartala, July 24 (FD) The Director General of Police (DGP) of Tripura, Amitabha Ranjan today warned that no one involved in inciting communal violence at Gondatwisa in Dhalai district will be spared. 
He strictly directed the Superintendent of Police of the district to take legal action against all those who are found to be involved in the violence. 

He held a meeting with all the district police chiefs today in presence of the other top officials of the department and the directives were given during the meeting held at Ambassa S.P office in Dhalai district.

It is reported that a state level law and order review meeting was held at the conference room of SP, Dhalai. The meeting was presided by Amitabh Ranjan, IPS, DGP Tripura. District SPs of all 8 districts of the state were present in the meeting. Among senior officers from the state police Headquarters, Shri Anurag, DGP (intelligence), Shri Carey Marak, IGP, TSR, Shri Manchak Ipper, DIGP (Range) and Shri Krishnendu Chakravertty, DIGP (Intelligence) were also present in the meeting.
Sources said the high level meeting reviewed the law and order situation of the state in view of ensuing Panchayat Election and preparedness of the force was also discussed.

DGP(Int) Shri Anurag passed necessary instructions to District SPs in the run up of forthcoming Panchayat Election and specifically mentioned that each and every situation should be deftly handled by Police. FD JK
