Heavy rains lash Tripura as southwest monsoon advances over state: IMD

Agartala, June 10 (FD) As per the latest official release of Agartala based Metrological Center of India, the rainfall could be continued in most places of Tripura, as the southwest monsoon has advanced into entire parts of the state.

“The Southwest monsoon has advanced into entire parts of Tripura State today, the 10th June 2023 which was delayed by a week from its normal date,” the press release said on Saturday.

Due to the effect of the monsoon there was heavy rainfall at isolated places of the state during last 24 hours.

“Rainfall occurred at most places in Tripura, with heavy rainfall at isolated places during last 24 hours,” the press release said.

According to the latest update from the IMD Agartala, continues rainfall with thunderstorms likely to be held at various places South, Dhalai and Gomati districts of the state during the next 24 hours. FD PD
