Agartala, Jan 29 (FD) Agartala is set to witness a grand spiritual gathering as the 165th Holy Advent of Param Dayal Shri Shri Thakur Ramchandra Dev will be celebrated with great devotion and enthusiasm. The three-day festival, in its second year, will take place from January 31 to February 2, 2025 (17th to 19th Magh, 1431 Bangla) at Agartala Children's Park. This sacred event has been organized with the blessings of Srimad Dhurjati Prasad Chakraborty Mahodaya, the fifth Mohant Maharaj of Shri Shri Satyanarayan Seva Mandir, Dingamanik, Bangladesh.
The festival will be graced by the presence of Srimad Subhash Chakraborty Mahodaya, the revered Youth Maharaj of the Shri Shri Thakur lineage from Dingamanik. Devotees from various temples, ashrams, and religious institutions across Tripura are invited to take part in the celebrations, regardless of caste, creed, or religion. Members of the print and electronic media are also requested to attend and cover the event.
The festival will commence on January 31 at 2:00 PM with a grand procession, featuring Guru Bhagnis in white sarees with red borders, blowing conch shells, and young children performing traditional dance. This will mark the holy invocation of the Ganga.
On February 1 and 2, from 9:00 AM onwards, Srimad Subhash Chakraborty Mahodaya will distribute the sacred Shri Naam among devotees. Free health and eye check-up camps will also be held from 10:00 AM on both days. Additionally, winter clothing and dhotis will be distributed to underprivileged individuals.
Distinguished religious leaders from Bangladesh, West Bengal, Maharashtra, Delhi, Assam, and other regions have been invited. Over 100,000 devotees are expected to participate, with 500 accommodated with lodging and meals. The festival will conclude on February 2 at 1:00 PM with the distribution of Maha Prasad to all attendees. FD SB
