Govt. to modernize hostels, enhance amenities for students: Minister Bikash

Agartala, May 1 (FD) Tribal Welfare Minister Bikash Debbarma said that government has taken initiatives to modernize the hostels under his department.
“We are organizing a meeting of the district and sub-divisional officers of our department to discuss about how more amenities could be given to the students so that they do not face major problems in getting educations”, Debbarma told reporters.
He said the efforts are on to modernize all the hostels in his department.
“I would request all the District and sub-division level Education officers to pay more attentions to their works. We have found some faults in the working of the officers in maintaining the hostelsd”, Debbarma added.
The Minister also informed that six new Eklavya Model Residential Schools shall start operating in the state and the Ashram schools responsible for imparting education in primary levels would be upgraded to upper-primary and senior basic level. FD JK
