Govt. and opposition Congress observe 75th constitution day

Agartala, Nov 26 (FD) The government of India, opposition Congress observed the 75th constitution day today.
The 26th November in the year 1949 the voluminous constitution was adopted, though it came into effect from January 26 in the year 1950.
Tripura government today observed programme with a rally from the UK Academy ground of students and political activists that traversed through different points of the capital city and ended on the front part of the ‘Ujjayanta Palace’.
The minister for finance Pranjit Singharoy and the minister for sports and youth programme Tinku Roy paid floral tributes to the statue of Dr B.R.Ambedkar who was the chairman of the constitution drafting committee.
Pradesh Congress committee also oragnised a seminar in the Students Health Home auditorium. This seminar was attended by MLAs and senior leaders Birajit Sinha, Sudip Roybarman, AICC observer Christopher Tilak and PCC president Asish Kumar Saha. Former professor of political science in Tripura Central University Chandrika Basu Majumder was the chief orator in the seminar. FD JK
