Agartala, Aug 22 (FD) Tripura Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu on Saturday visited Don Bosco School at Nandan Nagar and Banividyapith Girls’ Higher Secondary School at Ramnagar, interacting with students, Scouts and Guides volunteers and encouraging the younger generation to play a constructive role in building a responsible, harmonious and progressive society.
The Governor’s visit was marked by warm receptions, interactions with students and volunteers, and discussions on leadership, discipline, service and social responsibility.
At Don Bosco School, Scouts and Guides volunteers accorded the Governor a Guard of Honour on his arrival. He later interacted with the Scouts and Guides at the school auditorium and listened to their experiences and activities.
Addressing the gathering, Governor Nallu said that the younger generation has a crucial role to play in shaping a responsible, harmonious and progressive society. He appreciated the contribution of Scouts and Guides towards the development of Tripura and noted their active participation in the Nasha Mukt Tripura campaign aimed at building a drug-free state.
The Governor encouraged the volunteers to continue contributing to society through discipline, service and community engagement. The interaction provided students and volunteers with an opportunity to share their experiences and receive guidance from the Governor.
Don Bosco School Principal Father Surjit Tigga delivered the welcome address. Director of Youth Affairs and Sports L. Darlong, Tripura State Bharat Scouts and Guides State Secretary Reverend Ramendra Reang, teachers and Scout Master Abhijit Chakraborty were among those present.
Later, the Governor visited Banividyapith Girls’ Higher Secondary School at Ramnagar, where he interacted with Scouts and Guides volunteers, NSS members and students. He also visited the school’s NSS unit and planted a sapling on the campus.
During his interaction with the students, Governor Nallu urged them to uphold the values of discipline, leadership, teamwork, service and responsibility. He said the achievement of the national vision of Viksit Bharat would largely depend on the future generation and called upon students to actively contribute towards the country’s development.
The visit was described as a proud and memorable occasion for the school community, with students expressing joy and inspiration at the opportunity to interact with the Governor.
