Governor Reddy visits historic Gedu Mia Mosque, promises restoration support

Agartala, Nov 18 (FD) Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu visited the historic Gedu Mia Mosque in Agartala on Monday, a site cherished for its rich cultural and religious heritage. Constructed in an elegant Indo-Islamic style with white marble and intricate designs, the mosque is a landmark of devotion and historical significance.
During his visit, the Governor praised the mosque's architecture and the maintenance efforts. He was briefed by the Gedu Mia Mosque Committee President Mohammad Salim Mia and Secretary Mohammad Anu Mia about the mosque’s history and current restoration needs, including repairs to the pond.
Accompanied by Waqf Board Chairman Mohammad Mbambar Ali and Minority Development Corporation Chairman Mohammad Jasimuddin, the Governor assured swift action to preserve this iconic monument.
