Agartala, Apr 26 (FD) A public listening session of Mann Ki Baat was held at Boksanagar Higher Secondary School on Sunday morning, where Indrasena Reddy Nallu joined officials, educators, students, and residents to hear the latest address by Narendra Modi.
The gathering saw the presence of MLA Tafajjal Hossain, senior education department officials including Rajib Dutta and Asim Saha, Sepahijala district’s Additional District Magistrate Upendra Jamatia, and Superintendent of Police Bijoy Debbarma, along with a large number of locals.
Speaking after the broadcast, Governor Nallu highlighted how the people of Tripura have embraced the Prime Minister’s “Vocal for Local” initiative. He noted that the program has played a significant role in promoting indigenous products, especially bamboo-based handicrafts from the state, which are now gaining recognition across the country.
Describing the initiative as a reflection of a “New India,” the Governor said the platform provides national visibility to grassroots innovators. He emphasized that contributors from the northeastern region, particularly Tripura, are increasingly being featured and acknowledged through the program. Sunday’s broadcast marked the 133rd episode of Mann Ki Baat.
Following the event, the Governor visited a nearby Buddhist archaeological site in Boksanagar, which houses an ancient Buddha stupa. He was accompanied by the MLA and senior officials during the inspection. The visit underscored the region’s cultural and historical significance alongside its developmental progress. FD SB
