Governor inaugurates Taranga Utsav, highlights Education's Role

Agartala, Jan 28 (FD) Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu inaugurated the North Eastern Inter-University 'Taranga Utsav-2025' this evening at the ICFAI University campus. Organized jointly by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and ICFAI University, the vibrant festival celebrates youth and education.
Addressing over 800 students from 22 universities nationwide, the Governor emphasized the transformative power of education in an evolving world. He underscored the importance of acquiring knowledge to adapt to changes and encouraged students to embrace modern technology in their studies. Additionally, he urged the youth to cultivate respect for elders while fostering values and discipline in their educational pursuits.
Governor Nallu also highlighted the critical role of students in realizing the Prime Minister's vision of a developed India by 2047. He encouraged them to work diligently toward this ambitious national goal.
The event began with a welcome address by ICFAI University Vice Chancellor Dr. Biplob Halder. Distinguished speakers included Dr. Bala Lakhendra, Associate Professor of Mass Communication at Banaras Hindu University, and Dr. Mamat Rani Agarwal, Additional Secretary of AIU.
The four-day Taranga Utsav promises cultural exchanges, competitions, and workshops, continuing until January 31. FD SB JK
