Agartala, Jun 05 (FD) In the recently declared results of the Class X and XII examinations conducted by the Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE), the trend of girls outshining boys has once again prevailed.
The overall pass percentage for Class X stands at 86.02%, while for Class XII, it is 83.24%. Among the candidates, the girls achieved impressive results with 86.17% in Class X and 84.19% in Class XII, while the boys secured 85.84% and 82.16%, respectively.
The TBSE president, Dr. Bhabatosh Saha, announced the statistics during a press conference held at the TBSE office in Agartala. A total of 38,129 candidates appeared for the Class X examinations from 1,083 schools across the state.
Among the districts, for Class X, Gomati district claimed the top spot with a pass percentage of 92.30%, while North Tripura district recorded the lowest pass percentage at 77.80%.
For Class XII, a total of 33,452 candidates appeared from 408 schools. Sepahijala district secured the highest pass percentage of 88.60%, whereas West Tripura district had the lowest pass percentage at 69.96%. Notably, 50 students with disabilities (Divyangjan) appeared for Class X exams, and 20 students appeared for Class XII exams.
However, this year's pass percentage for Class XII has decreased by 11% compared to the previous year's record of 94.46%. Dr. Bhabatosh Saha informed me that the pass percentage for Class X was 86.02% and for Class XII, it was 83.24%.
The mark sheets will be distributed through the schools within the next 10 days. Students have the option to apply for a review in three subjects or can choose the 'Bachar Bachao' (Save the Year) programme, allowing them to appear in two subjects.
The enrollment process for the 2024 academic year has been completed, with practical examinations scheduled to commence in November, followed by pre-board exams in the last week of December. The board examinations are set to begin in the third week of February next year.
