Agartala, Sep 20 (FD) All the major political parties in Tripura has hailed the decision of the high court of Tripura to constitute a full bench to hear and dispose the appeal of illegally retrenched 10,323 teachers for reinstatement in service on 26th September.
Welcoming the decision the PCC president Asish Kumar Saha said, his party welcomed the decision because the teachers were retrenched illegally and the case was spoilt initially by the then law department of the previous left front government which disgustingly gave the wrong idea about the mother order passed by chief justice Deepak Kumar Gupta and Justice Swapan Chandra Das.
“We want justice should prevail and an amicable solution of the problem of livelihood of so many people should be made”, he said.
A highly placed source of the opposition CPI-M said the party wants a permanent solution of the problem. “We welcome the decision that the full bench of the High Court has agreed to hear the case for a solution.
The CPI (M) party had categorically assured the retrenched teachers that they would be put back in service, if necessary by passing a validation act, in case the CPI-M led left front came to power.
“That Left Front has not come to power. We will be happy if they get justice. We have also no hesitation to say that we also might have done some mistakes, but if they get their jobs back would be a matter of great joy”, said the leader, who is anonymous.
Sources in the ruling BJP said the problem was created by the Left Front itself by giving a faulty appointment, which could be rectified, but due to Himalayan ego o0f a leader that could not be done.
“Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha has always looked at the problem from a human angel and always wanted a solution. We will welcome if the full bench can give any solution to this lingering problem”, the source said. FD JK
